This magical children's opera features storytelling designed for children in kindergarten through third grade, exciting singing in English and Spanish, beautiful costumes and audience participation.

When Marianna, a young girl living in the heart of Mexico City, is encouraged by her family to visit Frida Kahlo and have her portrait painted, she is terrified. There are rumors that Frida keeps skeletons above her bed, and people have even called her a witch. However, when Frida begins painting Marianna's portrait her fear disappears, and through the magic of opera, Marianna and Frida's story unfolds.
