Join Dr. Eric Sherburn, board-certified neurosurgeon, for this interactive and highly informative presentation geared for parents, players, youth athletes, administrators and family members.
Attendees will learn about concussions and how to properly manage the symptoms. Dr. Sherburn will discuss return to learn/play/work issues, pros and cons of various tools that can be useful in diagnosing and managing concussions, as well as present various options in treating patients who have suffered a concussion. Dr. Sherburn specializes in concussions, brain-related problems and spine/back/neck issues. He is part of the OU sports medicine department within OU Physicians-Tulsa. He serves as secretary for the Southern Neurosurgical Society, is a governor to the American College of Surgeons and consults with the NFL on player concussions.
