Older adults and their caregivers will learn how to manage diabetes in order to improve their overall quality of life. Presented by the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative (OHAI) Northeast Office, this interactive series will focus on a different aspect of diabetes self-management each week and provide tips to implement at home. Through small groups, games, activities and support conversations, participants will learn about meal planning, how diabetes affects the body, how to monitor changes, and get tips on physical activity, how to encourage family involvement, plus much more. OHAI is a program of the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Oklahoma. Registration is required for the entire series.
