Jazz had a profound influence on the 1920s and '30s. Romare Bearden created art known as visual jazz to represent his community and experience as inspired by the music that influenced him every day.
We'll listen to the music of American composer and pianist George Gershwin while creating collages inspired by Bearden to reflect our own communities, struggles and inspirations. For ages 12-18.
