Join Tulsa Foundation for Architecture to use art deco motifs as inspiration for creating a decorative, hand sculpted tile using air dry clay and watercolor paints. For all ages.

Join us in partnership with Tulsa Foundation for Architecture and facilitator Allison Lackner for an art deco tile workshop.

Tulsa has a substantial art deco architectural heritage, springing from the wealth derived from the oil industry. Striking geometric shapes are one of its most defining aspects.  
 
In this workshop, we’ll use art deco motifs from Tulsa and beyond as inspiration to hand sculpt an original art deco inspired decorative tile using air dry clay and watercolor paints. The result will resemble a painted terracotta tile that is fit to adorn a Jazz Age building. All supplies are included, and after the workshop you’ll take home an original decorative tile to enjoy for years to come.
