Explore the basics of making comics and take home your own original one-page comic. For teens. Registration is required.

This workshop will walk you through the steps of creating a hand-drawn comic. We will discuss the fundamental elements of comic storytelling, layout and the steps to bringing an idea to life on the page. Then we will practice some introductory drawing exercises from Lynda Barry's book Making Comics. Finally, we will put our new skills to practice and create a one-page story of our own design.

Basic materials are provided. Personal art supplies are welcome.
