Join us for a community quilting circle and book discussion of this year’s One Book, One Tulsa pick, "Calling for a Blanket Dance" by Oscar Hokeah.

We will hand sew simple quilt blocks that will be assembled into a blanket made with contributions from throughout Tulsa County. Our discussion will focus on themes from the book, including resilience, family and finding strength in community.

Appetizers is a series of community conversations about “Calling for a Blanket Dance” in anticipation of Hokeah’s visit at the annual One Book, One Tulsa event on Friday, July 19 at 6 p.m. at Central Library.
