Women frequently disappear from the historical record due to name changes, limited legal rights and inconsistent documentation. This workshop focuses on practical, research-driven strategies to uncover female ancestors and reconstruct their lives using available records.
Genealogy Associate James Toburen will guide participants through techniques specifically designed to overcome common challenges in women’s genealogy research, with examples drawn from actual historical records discovered through Ancestry Library Edition and FamilySearch.
