BOK Harmony Hall - ParentCelebrate Nia (Purpose) through activities that highlight every principle of Kwanzaa. For all ages.
Celebrate the spirit of Kwanzaa during an evening of community, culture and creativity. This year's Kwanzaa Village Night will focus on Nia (Purpose) while also highlighting all seven principles of Kwanzaa through engaging activities for all ages.
Enjoy hands-on crafts, an African dance tutorial, storytelling during Kwanzaa-themed storytime and music from the Keith Jemison African American Resource Center jukebox. Experience the energy of live drummers, browse local vendors and take home a Kwanzaa information booklet to learn more about the holiday's history, traditions and principles.
In partnership with Onifade's Bakery, participants can also join interactive mini-classes designed to explore the meaning and practice of the Nguzo Saba (Seven Principles).
Bring your family and friends and enjoy an evening of learning, celebration and connection as we honor Kwanzaa together.
