Join us as we discuss real-world matters through the lens of fiction. Novel Talk features a panel of speakers using past and present literature to explore contemporary issues. For adults.
Novel Talk uses fictional works as a springboard to discuss real-world issues. Using Philip K. Dick’s classic "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?," we'll examine how the sci-fi genre envisions the past, present and future, and what fictional premonitions say about technological, societal and environmental realities of today.
Panelists include:
Dr. Brian Cowlishaw, English professor at Northeastern State University
Stewart Brower, director of OU-Tulsa's Schusterman Library
Deborah Hunter, case manager for Family & Children's Services
Moderated by KJRH News anchor Karen Larsen
