Join us on Zoom for this virtual Courageous Community Conversation reading and discussion program on historical trauma and its impact on today.
Courageous Community Conversations is a reading and discussion program designed to give participants an opportunity for authentic, transformative dialogue about challenging issues. Using this year's One Book, One Tulsa selection, "Red at the Bone" by Jacqueline Woodson, we will discuss the manner in which traumatic historical events impact an individual's social, mental and physical well-being years – even decades – after their occurrence. Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas for fostering resilient communities during these unprecedented times.
Email outreach.services@tulsalibrary.org for details for joining the discussion.
