Join the Hispanic Resource Center for a reception to launch the monthlong exhibition of "Exchanging Horizons" with Tulsa Artist Fellow Francheska Alcántara.
View and hear the oral histories of diverse voices across Tulsa.
This program is in conjunction with Ears to the Ground: An Ethnography of Material, Sound and Conversations, a multimedia project that seeks points of encounter and solidarity in Tulsa between Black and Latinx communities. This project explores the intersection of Black and Latinx identities through the research of the material and sonic geography of these communities. Further, it looks into the archive as well as documenting on-the-ground conversations among Tulsans to learn about history, place, similarities, differences and envisioning new possibilities for these communities.
Co-sponsored by TCCL's African American Resource Center.
