Kumihimo is a fun, easy, beautiful way to make friendship bracelets and cords for belts, and it has a fascinating history. Traditionally, kumihimo was used to lace samurai armor and kimonos. The colorful woven cords are still used as decorative fasteners on Japanese robes and kimonos.
