Ryan has been called, “A musical kaleidoscope, sparkling at everything he plays.” His virtuosity and amazing gift of improvisation have delighted audiences throughout the U.S. in venues as diverse as Carnegie Hall, New York, and the Wayne Newton Theater, Las Vegas. The applause has also resounded in England, France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the Caribbean and South America. He has the unique distinction of receiving both a diploma and special award at the International Frederic Chopin Competition in Warsaw, Poland (1975), as well as having been inducted into the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame (2006).
