Celebrate Teens Read Month
Saturday, October 17
2:00pm - 4:00pm
Zarrow Regional Library
South Meeting RoomWant to create the perfect accessory for your favorite books? Celebrate Teens Read Month by sewing a personalized book sleeve. Registration is required. For ages 13-18.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, teens will get hands-on experience using the library's sewing machines while making a custom book sleeve designed to protect books from bent covers, scratched pages, and everyday wear in backpacks and tote bags.
Participants will learn basic machine sewing techniques, gain confidence operating a sewing machine and personalize their project with a selection of fabrics. Whether you're completely new to sewing or looking to build your skills, you'll leave with a handmade book sleeve that's both practical and uniquely yours.
No sewing experience is necessary. All materials are provided.
