What’s a podcast?
It’s like a radio show you create yourself — recorded, edited and shared with the world. Whether it’s storytelling, interviews, comedy or commentary, podcasting is a powerful way to explore ideas, express opinions and connect with others. In this hands-on class, students will explore and practice using the RØDECaster Pro II to record a simple podcast episode. No special equipment or experience required!
Podcasting is more than just talking into a microphone — it’s about finding your voice and realizing your thoughts, experiences and perspectives matter. It develops communication skills, boosts confidence and allows you to share your creative ideas. Whether you're passionate about books, science, games or just have something to say, podcasting is a fun and meaningful way to be heard.
This class is part of Learn at the Library, a series of programs aimed at homeschool and virtual school students. Held during the school day, these sessions offer a fun social learning environment where young learners can explore new topics, meet peers and build skills together.
